Arsenal Star Hector Bellerin Set to Return in Next Match

Manager Arsene Wenger confirmed before the match that Bellerin should be set to return for the Gunners in their next match against Crystal Palace, per Uche Amako of the Express.  He added that “(Hector) Bellerin has a slight muscular injury, it’s only a question of days,” per Sky Sports.

Bellerin, 20, was superb for Arsenal last campaign after Mathieu Debuchy missed a huge chunk of time to injury. The young defender appeared in 20 Premier League matches, scoring two goals, adding an assist and earning a very solid 7.18 average match rating from WhoScored.com.

Bellerin’s excellent pace not only allows him to recover defensively and cover the top wingers in the Premier League, it also gives Arsenal another dimension going forward. He was one of the pleasant surprises of the 2014-15 campaign and has been tipped for big things going forward.

The Gunners are certainly well-equipped to deal with his absence, however, with Debuchy healthy once again and youngster Calum Chambers also capable of playing on the right. Bellerin is certainly the future for the Gunners at the position, however.
