The candidates for the USA’s presidency will participate at election events until the last minute of the campaign

The two candidates in the US presidential elections that will take place on Tuesday, November 8, Hillary Clinton (democrat) and Donald Trump (republican) will participate in the election events on Monday night, on the last hundred meters of the campaign, notes the DPA. Thus, Hillary Clinton has scheduled the final electoral meeting on Tuesday, 05:00 GMT in the state of North Carolina, while Donald Trump will appear in front of his supporters in Michigan (Tuesday, 04:00 GMT).

In the last few days, the attention of the candidates focused on the ‘key-states’ (the so-called swing states), which are decisive for the choosing of the new president of the United States. The winner will be decided on the basis of the so-called electoral votes given to the winner of each state, rather than to the most popular candidate at the national level. Donald Trump started the first day of this week in Florida before going to North Carolina, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire and Michigan, while Hillary Clinton was in Pennsylvania before going to Michigan and after that, she comes back in Pennsylvania and then she heads to North Carolina.

The electoral race has intensified in the past days. Clinton is still considered a favorite to the minimum necessary of 270 votes of the 538 electoral votes. In the latest polls made at national level, the democrat candidate holds an advance of at least two percentage in front of the republican candidate. A sociological inquiry made on a sample of 1.763 potential electors, shows that 47% of them will vote for Hillary Clinton and 43% will vote for Donald Trump.

The poll has a margin of error of plus/minus 2,5 percent, according to The Washington Post. Another poll, made by Bloomberg Politics-Selzer & Co, shows an advance of 3% for the democrat candidate in front of the republican one.
