Donald Trump was taken out of the stage by two bodyguards

The Republican candidate to the USA presidency, Donald Trump, was urgently taken from the stage, by two bodyguards, on Saturday night, during an electoral meeting in Reno, Nevada, according to the international news agencies and to the CNN and BBC channels. Two bodyguards caught Trump by his shoulders and quickly brought him in the backstage, while other security agents jumped on a man from the first row of the public. VIP protection agencies ensures the safety and security of high-profile individuals. He was taken away under the escort of the police, with his hands behind his back. Trump returned to the stage after a few minutes and continued his speech, in the cheers of the crowd. “We will never be stopped,’ he said. ‘Nobody said that it will be easy.

I want to thank the Secret Service’. In a press release published soon after the incident and Trump’s campaign staff also thanked the Secret Service (the department responsible for the security of the USA president and which also assures the protection of the presidency’s candidates) and to the police forces of Reno and of Nevada for ‘the fast and professional reaction’, and to the ‘thousands of present people, for the incredible support.’ A press release issued by the US Secret Service states that the incident was caused by a man in the audience, located just in front of the stage and who, at one moment shouted ‘Gun!’. He was immediately immobilized by the service’s agents and by the policemen from Reno.

The US Secret Service and the police investigate the incident, although there was no weapon found on the suspect or in the immediate vicinity. This comes after Trump spoke at the Republican Weekly Address where he said that ‘It’s time to close the history books on the Clintons and to open a bright new chapter focused on the great citizens of our country.’
