23 of the Most Hipster Google Maps Descriptions

Google Maps provides an abundance of valuable information about your neighborhood. With smartphone or laptop always in hand, we’ve become accustom to pop open Maps to find a bite to eat or a drink nearby.

But with so much data, locations are reduced to simple one-line descriptions, called Editorial Summaries. So we paid virtual visits to the hippest neighborhoods in Brooklyn, Boston and Chicago on Google Maps, collecting the most pretentious and hipster descriptions that Google Maps has to offer.

In Google’s defense, there’s no good way to describe a coffee shop/bar that also doubles as a laundromat without sounding a little ridiculous.
