Best Buy Will Now Bring Apple Watch to All Stores

Best Buy is increasing the distribution of the Apple Watch in its stores after seeing strong demand for the wearable just weeks after the chain began carrying it, according to Fortune. The electronics chain initially said the device would be available in just 300 stores by the holiday season.

However, “because demand has been so strong,” according to Best Buy CEO Hubert Joly, the retailer will begin carrying the watch in all 1,050 stores in the U.S. by the end of September.

With Apple choosing not to reveal sales data for its wearable, the tech industry has struggled to find indicators for the watch’s popularity. Some (including us at Mashable) have speculated whether the watch has been a mild success or an outright flop.

In any case, the addition of Best Buy to the Apple Watch distribution chain is likely to increase the device’s sales in the U.S.

Carrying more Apple Watches isn’t the only way Best Buy is buddying up with Apple. The retailer is also redesigning Apple product stations within its stores with new tables and fixtures to display more devices.

The work is already done in 350 stores, and those changes will appear in 170 more stores in time for the holiday season.
