Celine Dion and Bradley Cooper – touching moment at the Stand up to Cancer charity show

Celine Dion, deeply touched at a charity show dedicated to the fight again cancer, was comforted by the American actor Bradley Cooper. At the charity shows ‘Stand Up to Cancer’ the Canadian singer sang the Recovery song , composed by Pink. This song evokes the fact of getting over the moment of a beloved one’s missing. The artist, whose husband Renee Angelil died of cancer, in January, was very touched, but she found comfort in the arms of Bradley Cooper. While Dion was singing, on a gigantic screen the audience could see photos of Renee Angelil bust also images with the singer’s brother, both died because of the cancer. Her performance was full of tears and standing ovations from the public.

Cooper, who animated a part of the show was so moved by Celine Dion that he couldn’t help himself not to hug her on stage. Before the touching performance, Dion said that he misses her husband every day and that his loss is a part of her existence. Dion talked about how cancer took her husband and her brother away from her from this life. Celine Dion also talked about how the Recovery song was offered to her. Dion said that at a few months ago, when she was going through a very time, grieving her husband, she received a gift from Pink, an artist that she admires very much. The gift was very unexpected and the Recovering song is about the power of staying strong and of staying up, Celine Dion said. Many celebrities took part in this charity event such as: Ken Jeong, Matthew McConaughey, Tom Hanks, Anna Kendrick, Kristen Wiig, Ben Affleck and Emma Stone. Bradley Cooper was the executive producer of the live telecast and he encouraged the cancer survivors that were present at the show.
