Laverne Cox and Caitlyn Jenner Finally Meet in Real Life
Two great women fighting for transgender rights have finally met in person. Orange is the New Black star Laverne Cox has been a trailblazer in the transgender community.
She stars on a hit Netflix show, the first transgender celebrity with a figure at Madame Tussaud’s and always voices support for other transgender people who live in the public eye — especially Caitlyn Jenner.
The actress met up with Jenner, who just accepted ESPY’s Arthur Ashe Courage Award, at an advanced screening of Jenner’s E! documentary I Am Cait.
Cox also met up with other transgender women who were invited to the screening, including actress Candis Cayne, who was the first transgender actress to get a major role as a transgender person on the television show Dirty Sexy Money.
“This actress paved the way for me and so many others,” Cox wrote about Cayte on Instagram.
