Madonna’s son, Rocco Ritchie, arrested for marijuana possession

Madonna’s son, Rocco Ritchie, was arrested while smoking a joint with a friend, reports The Sun, quoted on Wednesday by Le Parisien. The boy was denounced by the neighbors who saw him consuming drugs in the vicinity of his house from Primrose Hill, in the North of London. ‘This incident was the final straw. Local residents are fed up with him acting in this manner and called the police’, according to The Sun. After his arrest, on Rocco, 16 Years old, was found a small quantity of cannabis. The police found cannabis on the teenager’s clothes and when they opened his rucksack they found a Class B drug, in a small quantity. In accordance with a source close to the case, the young man risks an easy punishment because the infraction is not considered a serious one, but he will have to work on the use of the community.

This new ‘event’ of the young Rocco, also known in the neighborhood for his character as a rebel, is not likely to improve the relationship with his mother. And even if the connection between Madonna and her son has improved in the last few months, it has not been always so serenely, considering that this incident takes place at only two months after the decision of the court to grant the custody of Rocco to his father, the British director Guy Ritchie, 48 years old. Still, the pop legend stands up by his son, saying to the Associated Press: ‘I love my son very much. I will do whatever I can to give him the support that he needs, and I ask that you respect our privacy at this time.’ Madonna has four children: Lourdes Maria, born on October 14, 1996, Rocco Ritchie, born on August 11, 2000, David Banda, adopted in 2006 and Mercy James, adopted in 2009.
