Sweet Little Alfalfa from The Little Rascals Now Has a Huge Mountain Man Beard

Things were different in 1994. A kid named Bug Hall — possibly only second to Jonathan Taylor Thomas as far as ’90s child actor names go — played Alfalfa, the hopeless romantic with a very cool hairstyle, in The Little Rascals movie. Donald Trump also had a role as a dad/oil tycoon.

Flash forward to 2015. Donald Trump is running for president and Bug Hall has a lot of facial hair. Our innocence is but a relic of the past.

Hall has been sharing selfies of his mountain man beard on Twitter, where he also muses about manila envelopes stuffed with sandwiches for the past year. And now that his facial hair has entered public consciousness, the actor has recognized his duty to provide beard selfies for ’90s kids to admire (when, you know, they’re not too busy feeling crushed by the march of time).

For comparison, here is Hall sans beard as Alfalfa once again for a Little Rascals reunion last year.

The jury is still out on how Darla feels about his facial hair.
